My Visit to the Property Show in London – Shared Ownership Still in the Spotlight
Two weeks ago, I had the chance to attend the Property Show in London, hosted by Share to Buy, and I have to say, there were no surprises when it came to what drew the biggest crowd. Once again, shared ownership took center stage, with people gathering information, asking questions, and seeking clarity on how the scheme actually works.
Every year, more and more people are showing interest in owning their own home, and I completely understand why. The idea of having a place that’s truly yours, somewhere to settle, to feel secure, to build memories, is a powerful one. It’s not just about bricks and mortar; it’s about having a home and knowing your money is being invested, not wasted.
As I walked around the show, I noticed many familiar faces, longstanding housing associations that have been in the game for a while. But it was refreshing to meet some new players too. It’s always encouraging to see more options and greater variety entering the market.
One thing that really stood out this year was the large number of conveyancers showcasing their services. That was great to see!
